Our Pastor
Rev. Michael S. Allen
and his wife, Annemarie, have been married for 23 years. They met each
other as friends in college and found a personal relationship with Jesus
at that same time. They both found Christ through the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes, as Mike played college football in Oklahoma. Since
college, Mike has served on staff with Young Life, as a high school
football coach in Kansas, assistant pastor and youth pastor at churches
in Oklahoma, youth pastor at Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA, speaker and
worship leader at various camps and conferences, and now as church
planter on Cape Cod. Mike and Annemarie moved to the Cape with the
express desire to plant a church for people who don't go to church. They
have four children; Jacob, Seth, Sarah, and Hannah.
Mike has studied at Fuller Theological
Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and received his Masters
in Divinity at Seminary of the East. He was ordained in 1996.
Pastor
Mike Allen sensed a strong desire to plant an energetic and dynamic
ministry on the Cape because of its growing population and family
connections there. He moved his family from a church in the Boston area
to Sandwich. A launch team was formed and began to pray through God's
leading to be a church that specifically targets people who do not go to
church. We continue to brainstorm ways to express God's love in
real-life ways so that people can genuinely experience the unconditional
love of God and the compelling good news of forgiveness and a brand new
way of living life as God intended. As stated in our core values, Music
should be fun and inspiring, preaching should make sense, children
should be well-loved with top-notch programming, and we want to do
"whatever it takes" to share God's wonderful love with you, our fellow
neighbors in this adventure called life. We hope to
share not only the news of Jesus' love, but our lives as
well.
Mike and Annemarie
desire to befriend folks and “love them into the Kingdom”. It is through
relationship that Christ is best expressed. And we desire to help others
become the kinds of friends to folks all across the Cape to know God’s
love in real, practical ways. Mike runs a home inspection business for
his financial support, and so he knows very much what it’s like to live
“in the real world”. This experience in ministry, coaching, parenting,
and business bring a diversity of perspective and desire to see Christ
served in ALL of life!
We believe God
is a 24:7 deal for the rest of our lives. We invite you to join the
greatest adventure of all - Jesus the King!
