Baptism Service

Sunday, August 8th is a special Baptism Service at Sandy Neck Beach.  For all who trust in Christ, we practice baptism by immersion as an outward sign of the inward grace of God.  Join us as we celebrate the joy and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt 28:19)  (Directions:  From Route 6, Take Exit 3 North onto Quaker Meetinghouse Rd; go 1 mile and turn Right onto Rte 6A; go 3.2 miles and turn Left onto Sandy Neck Rd – Look for the umbrella with balloons) 

BEACH BONFIRE

SATURDAY, July 17th, 6-9pm, at East Sandwich Beach.  Join us for a fun evening at the beach enjoying a bonfire, s'mores, some singing, and there will be baptisms for some in our church family.  Bring a couple pieces of firewood if you have any.  If not, bring your smiling self!  Let's enjoy God's beautiful creation at sunset on beautiful Cape Cod!

DIRECTIONS:  From Route 6, take Exit 3 and turn North onto Quaker Meeinghouse Rd towards Route 6A.  Go about 1.1 mile and turn Right onto Route 6A.  At the fork, bear Left and go about 1 mile and turn Left onto "Ploughed Neck Rd".  Take that to the end and turn Left onto "N. Shore Blvd". Go about 0.4 mile and to the parking area. 

End of the year for Youth Group....

Well another great year for the LCF Youth Group.  We started with a trip to Davis Farms Mazes and ended with an amazing trip to Campenelli Stadium for a minor League Baseball Game between the Brockton Rox and New jersey Jackals.  Brockton played a great game and came out with the victory in the three hour game.  It was also a Faith Day Event in which several Christian Bands played with all they had to worship our AWESOME SAVIOR!!  Thanks for a great day.

This year the Youth Group grades 6, 7, and 8 learned all about God's love, and how they fit into His plan for them.  They learned how to work with one another, why forgiveness and mercy are so important.  It was God who first showed us love and forgave us so we then should in return forgive and love others.  The kids added to their spiritual weapons by reading and remembering over 12 bible verses.  Also they learned how important being in the word daily will help them make wise and informed choices.  I want to say thanks to the kids for a fun year and can't wait to start up the group in the fall.

Adult Valentine's Party

Valentine Party –  Mark Your Calendar:  Saturday, Feb. 13th, 7-9pm. 

Join us for a great evening of super desserts and hors d'oeuvres, crazy "Battle of the Sexes" game, and a chance to meet new friends.  This is also a great night to get out with friends or spouse without the kids.  Each year this is a highlight of the Dull Winter Months - but never dull here at Lighthouse!  BRING ON THE FUN!!!

Winter Small Groups Underway

TUESDAY NIGHTS - "Miracles of Jesus" – Each TUESDAY from 6:30-8pm at Dave & Beth Beguerie’s, 4 Mary M Circle, Sagamore Beach. Healer of diseases; Conqueror of Demons & Death…  This Deep Connection DVD series gives you a unique, in-depth look at the miracles of Jesus will open your eyes to their impact on the lives he touched, what they reveal about God’s heart, and the significance today.

THURSDAY NIGHTS - "Is Christ Really God?" - Each THURSDAY from 6:30-8pm at Greg & Heather Madalena’s, 6 Balfour Ln, Mashpee.  This five-part DVD series equips adults with solid answers for who Christ really is and teaches them how to lead young people into a transformed relationship with God. Josh McDowell shares how to help your kids to know why we believe what we believe and how it’s relevant to life.

Annual Christmas Party

This year the kids had a blast creating their own gingerbread houses.  They were all very different and very unique to their artist. 

The Yankee Swap was tons of fun.. with lots of chocolate swapping going on....especially the Giardellis!!

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY

This Fall at Lighthouse:  Financial Peace University is a biblically-based video driven small group study that teaches individuals and families to beat debt, build wealth, and give like never before.  Nationally syndicated radio host Dave Ramsey helps people “live like no one else so that you can really live like no one else!”    The 13-week Course has two class options:  CLASS #1 is on Thursday nights, and begins Sept. 24^th, from 6:30-8:30pm here at the Church.    CLASS #2 is on Sunday nights, and begins Sept. 27th, also from 6:30-8:30pm.  The cost of the 13-week course is $99 (per family), which covers all of your materials and home resources.  NOTE:  The average family saves $2,300 the first 90 days after beginning the course, and around $5,700 in debt in the same period!  Can you afford NOT to enroll? 

Mid-Summer Beach Bonfire

Saturday night, July 25th, at 7pm we'll be enjoying more of the summer with a "Mid-Summer Beach Bonfire" at East Sandwich Beach.  Bring your favorite picnic goodies (and a couple pieces of firewood if you have any) to enjoy a good old-fashioned evening at the Beach at beautiful Cape Cod.  [DIRECTIONS TO THE BEACH:  Route 6A to "Ploughed Neck Road" to the end.  Take LEFT onto North Shore Blvd to the parking lot at the end.]

4th of July Parade a Hit!

 This year's 4th of July parade in Sandwich was better than ever!  After a long, cold, wet spring, we were graced with beautiful sunny weather - Cape Cod at its finest!  There were many fantastic floats at the parade, and Lighthouse took 3RD PLACE in the float competition!  The live band was a hit with the crowds.  We gave out lots of balloons, and free water to kids and grown-ups alike.  What a great way to bring joyful music to the folks of our town, and to celebrate our Nation's Independence.  Thanks to all who made the day happen.  Way to go Team!
