Fun Stuff

Here at Lighthouse, we believe in living life to the fullest … and that means lots of FUN! We have various parties throughout the year to laugh, enjoy life, and build relationships. (We call these our “Living Room Events”). We also do several fun outreach events in the community (we call these “Street Events”). From the July 4th Parade, to Hot Cocoa in Christmas in Sandwich, to fun Carnival events, there are lots of laughs for all. Check out some of our times of laughter. “The Joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Neh. 8:10)

Christmas Party Posted on Dec 17 2011 by chris Everyone had a lot of fun at the Christmas party. We had the "Worst Christmas Sweater" contest. The Ames' won the top three prizes. Congratulations to the Ames (I think). the kids made some gingerbread ornaments. We then had a Yankee Swap. Everyone was swapping gifts and we had a lot of laughs. Thanks for all who helped.

Youth Redemption Posted on Nov 28 2011 by chris Once again, everyone had a good time at Youth Group. We started off with a difficult game of dropping clothes pins into bottles. The girls won, but we saw how tickets could be "redeemed" for candy. We then talked about how Christ "redeemed" us. Then we setup the Church Christmas Tree.

Consecration Sunday at Dan'l Webster Inn Posted on Nov 20 2011 by chris Everyone had a good time and plenty to eat. We had been hearing a Sermon Series on giving. The sermon series finished with our "Consecration Sunday", when each family decided and pledged what portion of their income they would give to God. We were excited when the numbers were returned. Once again, God is good and takes care of us. Families are growing as they move towards tithing.

First youth lesson went great Posted on Nov 14 2011 by chris The first night went great! We started with Ali leading a game, then went to the back room for memory verses. We took about an hour for the actual lesson and wrap up. The kids were challenged to think of someone they have a hard time treating as a valued person made in God's image. Next week we will be askin how they implemented their specific step to treat them as such.

14 kids for Junior High Kick-Off Posted on Nov 7 2011 by chris We had a bumper crop of 6-8th graders on Sunday night for the Youth Group kickoff. We had delicious dinner and desserts. We had a "get to know your teachers" game. We got to know the kids, and the kids got to know the teachers. We're looking forward to all that God is going to do through this group.

Fall Festival was a Great Success Posted on Oct 29 2011 by chris Everyone came inside out of the rain for the Fall Festival. There was fresh cotton candy being made, and kids of all ages had sticky hands and faces. After playing a game of cow-bowling, kids could dip and apple in caramel and put all sorts of wonderful condiments on them, like coconut, sprinkles, and chocolate chips. After playing penny toss, they could then munch on some popcorn or some baked goods. Everyone had plenty to eat, and plenty of fun. Hope to see you next year!

Heart 2 Heart - "Stages & Phases" Posted on May 3 2011 by mike Attention All Ladies! Coming Friday, May 6th, 7-9pm here at the church. You are invited to a very special evening of encouragement, fellowship, and inspiration where you can experience what it’s like to be “encouraged in heart and united in love” (Col. 2:2). This is our last event of the year, and the theme is: “Stages and Phases – Growing Through the Years.”

Good Friday Service Posted on Apr 14 2011 by mike This year we will host a Good Friday Service on Friday, April 22nd, at 7pm. - Bring the family and join us for a very special Good Friday Worship Service. This Holy service is a special time of reflection on the last moments Jesus had with his disciples leading into the crucifixion, and includes special readings, music, and video concluding with a special Communion time together. Come make this service a part of your holy week tradition.

Two Easter Services Posted on Apr 14 2011 by mike In order to make room for our growing church, Lighthouse will host TWO Easter Morning worship services: 9:00am and 10:30am. We are excited about the growth we are experiencing, and are hoping to break over 300 in attendance this Easter Sunday. Join us for a great evening of joy, inspiration, and hope as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Christ is risen indeed!

Heart to Heart: Love Edition Posted on Feb 7 2011 by mike ATTENTION ALL LADIES:  Coming Friday Night, Feb. 18th, from 7-9pm is our monthly "Heart to Heart" evening event hosted here at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship.  February makes us think of Valentines Day and the idea of LOVE.  We hear a lot about love this time of year, but what is love?   If you've ever wondered in your heart what real love can be,  join us for a special evening out to connect with other ladies and be pampered and encouraged.  Whether you're from another church or no church at all, you are warmly invited for an evening out, just for you!  Join us as we discover God's plan of real love.
